The work is composed of two large groups depicted during their migratory phase. On one side, the locusts, in a compact formation, advance like a well-organized and unstoppable army, bringing destruction. On the other, the Monarch butterflies gather and rest on flowers, free, joining together with grace and beauty. In reaction to the advance of danger, they take flight and rise, carrying the meaning of rebirth, change, and transformation. Conceived as a work in motion and made from recycled materials, the sculpture was inspired by reflections during the COVID-19 emergency.
